A long day full of data cleansing ends with fantastic sushi
Today was extremely productive. After hours of data cleansing and on boarding a new CDO on the client project I close the day with a beautiful sushi meal, tired, but satisfied.

It's hard to strive for perfect days. And usually those happen when you stop trying. Today was one of these days where everything just went according to plan I got everyone everywhere on time the interactions I had with my peers were a very productive. And on top of that, I managed to cleanse that large data set that has been bothering me for so long now.
I've always been good at living in the moment. And I know how grateful I can be for the life that I am living at the moment.
The sushi was definitely a highlight. But, the call I got from my little girl telling me that she got a cookie in the shape of an ice skate and a diploma for having finished her very first ice-skating course this year was zero to none.
Sometimes it's really good to be a little bit further away from home so that you can see exactly what's going on when you're not there. That might sound extremely contradictory, but that's the way I feel. You just learn to appreciate every single interaction that you have so much more.
Tomorrow I've got a full day of back-to-back meetings and a number of very challenging marketing questions ahead of me. So I'm definitely going to call it an early night. I would much rather just get up early tomorrow and do it all again.
Work hard, play hard feels just about right at the moment. Even though the playing hard is a little different nowadays than it was 10 years ago.
This sushi place was great by the way: Azura in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

And someone asked me today if I didn't think it's tough to be away from home so much. I don't feel like I'm far away at all. I feel loved and supported by those close to me and I am getting a lot done in the process. If anything, these types of experiences, just keep me sharp and give me the energy to continue giving my all, every single day.
I'm really looking forward to tomorrow already. To discuss marketing strategies, organizational set ups and the commute back home late at night. You don't have to be a miles and more senator to enjoy traveling. It's all about the journey and simply enjoying life.
G'nite
