The "Anti-Hallucination" Audit

AI is a brilliant assistant, but it’s a terrible biographer. I’m sharing my blueprint for using NotebookLM’s deep research to ‘hallucination-proof’ my digital twin—ensuring that when I use Gemini, it’s grounded in 100% facts, not creative fiction.

As a fractional marketing executive, my "product" is my brain—my specific way of solving problems for brands worldwide. But when I’m at home, I’m just a dad trying to convince a three-year-old that socks aren’t the enemy.

The gap between my professional brand and my personal life is where things get messy—and where AI usually starts making things up.

I’ve spent the last week researching... myself. Not for vanity, but for accuracy. If I’m going to use LLMs to help me draft strategies or automate parts of my personal brand, I need them to be grounded in 100% fact. I’m tired of AI "hallucinating" that I worked at companies I’ve never heard of or assuming I have a PhD in something I barely understand.

Here is how I’m building a "hallucination-proof" digital twin.

Step 1: The Deep Research Grounding

I used NotebookLM’s Deep Research feature to crawl my own digital footprint. It doesn’t just "search"; it synthesizes various websites and social platforms into a central hub. It’s like an audit of what the internet says about me.

  • The Goal: See the "raw data" that models like Gemini see.
  • The Result: A clean, cited report of my actual career milestones and philosophy.

Step 2: Scraping the "Audio-Visual" Brain

As a marketer, I put a lot of content on YouTube. But LLMs don't "watch" video. I used a tool called YouTube to NotebookLM to scrape every transcript and insight from my channel.

Why this matters: It captures the way I talk—the specific metaphors, the serial entrepreneur "war stories," and the fractional marketing frameworks I’ve built. It turns my spoken words into a reliable reference library.

Step 3: Hardcoding the Truth in Gemini

Once I had this verified "Truth File," I went into Gemini Settings > Saved Info.

By pasting this context there, I’m effectively giving Gemini a permanent "cheat sheet." Now, when I ask it to "Draft a proposal for a new brand," it doesn’t guess my experience; it looks at my saved info and uses facts.

The result? Less time correcting "creative lies" from the AI, and more time being an authentic dad and husband. Accuracy isn't just a professional standard; it’s how we make sure our digital tools actually reflect who we are.
