QuickCast Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 September 2026

QuickCast is a personal screen-recording and publishing tool built and used by Remco Livain. It is not a public product and has no users other than its owner.

What QuickCast does

QuickCast records screen videos locally on the owner's computer and uploads finished videos, thumbnails and captions to the owner's own YouTube channel (@rlivain) via the YouTube Data API.

Data access and storage

QuickCast accesses only the YouTube channel of its owner, using Google OAuth with the youtube.upload and youtube.force-ssl scopes. Authorization tokens are stored locally on the owner's computer and are never shared with third parties. QuickCast does not collect, store or process any data from anyone other than its owner. It has no database, no analytics and no third-party data sharing.

Google user data

QuickCast's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
