About me

Remco Livain is a digital entrepreneur, born and raised in The Netherlands. He moved to Switzerland in 2015, where he founded the digital strategy consultancy GANDT Ventures.

Remco has been an entrepreneur since the mid-2000s. After finishing his university degree in Marketing and Business Administration at the University of Maastricht, he moved to Munich (Germany) – where he lived from 2006- until the end of 2014. After nearly a decade in Munich, he decided to move closer to the Swiss Alps (in Zürich), where he has resided since 2015.

With his GANDT Ventures Team, Remco supports Scale Ups, SMBs, and Corporates alike, in their digital endeavors. As a C-Level Sparring Partner, Digital Board Member/Advisor, and Marketing Strategy Consultant (iCMO), he supports his clients to create a sustainable online organization, capable to tackle the (growth) challenges of digitalization. How did you start your career?

I started my digital marketing career in the dating industry. After an introduction to online marketing at FriendScout24, I worked alongside the C-Date founding team to build up international performance marketing channels and organization.

Where did you go after that?

After roughly 5 years of “dating experience” I went on to work for Westwing Home and Living – a Rocket Internet company – to lead the global online marketing operations as their head of online marketing.

You co-founded a flower delivery company?

Yes, indeed. My next stop was Venture Stars in Munich. I worked as a marketing sparring partner for the other startups within the group and co-founded one of the ventures, called MIFLORA. We successfully sold the company to Blume2000 in 2017.

What is GANDT Ventures?

In 2015 I founded GANDT Ventures, a digital strategy consulting. The GANDT-team is based in Zürich (Switzerland) and Munich (Germany). It consists of entrepreneurial marketing specialists, like myself, who help businesses and individuals deal with their digital (marketing) challenges.

What do you do in your spare time?

I am a big sports fan, both as a practitioner and a spectator. Whenever I get the chance, I go out and enjoy the beautiful Swiss scenery on my bike. But, if the weather does not permit it, I am just as happy on my indoor trainer – racing on the virtual worlds on Zwift. You can follow me here on Strava.
