Marketing March, My Local Practice for Swiss SMBs

Active venture: my own local, personal-name practice delivering fractional marketing leadership to owner-led businesses in the March, Schwyz and Zürichsee region.

Active Venture · Owner & Operator · Fractional Marketing for Swiss SMBs · March / Schwyz / Zürichsee · Started 2026 · Ongoing

Marketing March is my own company — my local marketing practice for Swiss small and mid-sized businesses. If you run a company near me and you need someone senior to actually run your marketing with you, or to coach your team until they can run it themselves, that is what this is. I work in German, English or Dutch.

It is a separate business from Prexova, the collective venture I co-founded. Marketing March is me, personally, close to home.

Context & venture intent

  • Company: Marketing March (marketing-march.ch)
  • Service: Fractional and interim marketing leadership for owner-led companies
  • Geography: The March district, Canton Schwyz, and the wider Zürichsee region
  • Languages: German, English or Dutch — your choice. German and Dutch are my first languages.
  • Role: Owner and operator — I do the work myself

Who this is for

Owner-led companies, roughly three to a hundred people, where marketing matters but nobody senior owns it.

Usually that looks like one of these:

  • The owner is doing marketing in the evenings, on top of running the company
  • There is a small team doing good work with no strategy above them
  • An agency runs a channel or two, and nobody is deciding whether those are the right channels
  • A marketing lead just left, and the vacancy is going to take months to fill

What all of these have in common is not a lack of effort. It is a lack of someone senior who owns the decisions and stays long enough to be accountable for them.

What you actually get

Two ways to work with me, and most companies end up doing both in sequence.

1. I run your marketing with you

I take responsibility for the marketing function on a fractional basis — a fixed number of days per month, for as long as it is useful. In practice:

  • A clear picture of where you actually stand, before anything gets spent
  • The strategy and the channel decisions — including which activities to stop
  • Budget ownership, and honest answers about what each franc is doing
  • Managing the agencies and freelancers you already work with, so you do not have to
  • Hands-on execution where it is faster for me to do it than to brief it

2. I coach your team to run it themselves

The better long-term outcome, and the one I push for. Same seniority, different shape:

  • Your people keep doing the work, with me in the room when the decisions get made
  • Regular working sessions instead of a report nobody reads
  • Structures your team can still use after I stop coming — planning rhythm, priorities, what to measure
  • A deliberate handover, with a date on it

I would rather leave a team that no longer needs me than build a dependency. That is the whole point of a fractional model.

How it starts

No pitch deck and no proposal you have to decode.

  1. A free self-check on the website if you want to know where you stand before speaking to anyone
  2. A first conversation, in which I tell you honestly whether I can help and whether it is worth the money
  3. A scoped engagement, sized to your company — small owner-led business, mid-sized company with a marketing function, or an interim lead role for a larger organisation

You get a clear price for the tier you fall into. No retainer that renews by default, no minimum term, no cart.

Why local matters

Most of my career has been international — DTC brands across Europe, clinic groups, SaaS platforms, marketplaces. Marketing March is deliberately the opposite end of that, and the difference is not the size of the work. It is the proximity.

Being in the region means I can sit in your office rather than on a call. It means we know some of the same people. And it means my name is attached to the outcome in a place where that actually costs me something if I get it wrong.

That is a feature, not a limitation.

A note on language

You are reading this in English because this site speaks to an international audience. It is not the only language I work in, and it is not my first.

German and Dutch are my first languages, and I have lived and worked in German-speaking countries for more than two decades. I work with clients in German, English or Dutch — whichever suits you and your team. Most local mandates run in German: the meetings, the strategy, the writing, the conversations with your people. If your business works across borders, that switch costs you nothing.

Current state (2026)

Marketing March is live and taking on mandates. The offer is set — three engagement sizes, both working modes — and the practice is deliberately capacity-limited, because I do the work myself.

Why this project lives here

Marketing March is on this page because it is a real company with real clients, not a side project. It is also the honest answer to a question I get regularly: yes, I run international mandates, and yes, I will sit down with a fifteen-person company in Lachen.

Those are not the same offer, so they are not the same business.
